Abstracta wall system Poul Cadovius

Very nice wall system in very good condition with normal traces of use, all tubes and shelves have been cleaned and polished. This wall system is completely demountable and can be divided according to your own insight. It consists of black sprayed metal tubes of 33, 45 and 79 cm length that are connected to each other with connectors. This system has 2 teak shelves and 14 colored metal shelves. 3 green shelves show some spots where the paint is damaged, see photos.

In 1962 Poul Cadovius (1911 – 2011) designed the functional and very stylish Abstracta System. The idea was that modern people need modern furniture to meet the contemporary architectural demands in modern homes.

The design has numerous combination possibilities and color and material options such as glass, teak and metal. The 13mm round steel tubes are held together with connectors. The slim design is very stable without additional supporting parts and can therefore be called unique. The Abstracta system is suitable for any room in the house, office or shop. Over the years, the Abstracta system has won many design awards and has been included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York since 1967.
