Wall system Kai Kristiansen

This wall system consists of 9 bookshelves. Six are 85cm wide x 18cm deep, one is 85cm x 32cm deep, one is 85cm x 28cm deep, and one is 85cm x 24cm deep. There are 9 bookshelves in total.

One drawer unit with dimensions of 85cm wide x 23cm high x 32cm deep with 4 drawers, 1 of which has a removable space divider. One cupboard measuring 85 x 36cm high x 32cm deep with a height-adjustable shelf and 1 drawer inside.

And 4 wall rails: 2 of 178cm, 1 of 145cm, and 1 of 100cm long. The rails are attached to the wall with screws. The cabinets and shelves have iron hooks on the back, allowing them to hang in the recesses in the rails. It's very well designed, as all the shelves and cabinets hang stably and securely. Moreover, it's very easy to adjust the composition to your liking.

The whole thing is in very good condition with only a few minor scratches. Everything has been cleaned and oiled and is ready for use.

At the age of 26, Danish designer Kai Kristiansen (1929-2023) opened his own studio in the Danish Modern style, where he favored working with beautifully combined teak and rosewood materials. His modular FM Reolsystem, designed in 1957 for Feldballe Møbelfabrik, became a global success, just like Poul Cadovius's.
