Wall system Kai Kristiansen

This wall system consists of seven shelves measuring 85cm wide x 18cm deep and two shelves measuring 85cm x 24cm deep. There are nine bookshelves in total.

One display cabinet with polished glass sliding doors with dimensions of 85cm wide x 32cm deep x 36cm high.

Three base cabinets with hinged doors, two of which also have a flap, allowing access from above. Dimensions are 85w x 50h x 45d.

The middle cabinet is a bar cabinet with two doors and a flap. Inside, you'll find a light box for bottles, which automatically illuminates when the cabinet is opened from above and plugged in. The light box is made of plastic and contains three bulbs. The interior shelves have space for glasses and a drawer.

And 4 wall rails of 200cm that are attached to the wall with screws.

The whole thing is in very good condition with only a few minor scratches. Everything has been cleaned and oiled and is ready for use.

At the age of 26, Danish designer Kai Kristiansen (1929-2023) opened his own studio in the Danish Modern style, where he favored working with beautifully combined teak and rosewood materials. His modular FM Reolsystem, designed in 1957 for Feldballe Møbelfabrik, became a global success, just like Poul Cadovius's.
