The Panthella was originally designed in 1971 by Verner Panton in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. It is a distinctive design that not only reflects Panton's playful style but also uses organic shapes to create exceptional light. The semi-circular shade directs most of the light downward, where it is reflected by the trumpet-shaped base. This creates a soft and diffused light. The Panthella 250 table lamp is a smaller version, with a shade diameter of 250 mm, making it ideal for a variety of settings. The shade in the White, Pale Rose, and Pale Blue colors is made of Opal Acrylic and allows light to pass through; in the other colors, the shade is made of steel and directs light only downward.
