The Panthella was originally designed in 1971 by Verner Panton in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. It is an exceptional design that not only reflects Panton's playful style but also uses organic forms to create exceptional light. The hemispherical shade directs most of the light downwards, where it is reflected by the trumpet-shaped base. This creates soft and diffuse light. The Panthella 250 table lamp is a small-scale version, with a shade diameter of 250 mm, making it ideal for a variety of environments. The shade of the White, Pale Rose and Pale Blue colors is made of Opal Acrylic and lets light through, for the other colors the shade is made of steel and only emits light downwards.
